Parkway Pantai's RM700m expansion plan
Parkway Pantai Ltd, the healthcare group controlled by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, is investing some RM700 million to build new hospitals and upgrade existing ones in Malaysia to expand its business.
Parkway Pantai now has some 11 hospitals in Malaysia. It is building three new hospitals, a 300-bed facility in Johor, a 200-bed facility in Sabah and a 100-bed hospital in Perak. It is also expanding hospitals in Kuala Lumpur.

Parkway Pantai is the new investment holding company set up in March this year. It holds all of the shares in Singapore's Parkway Holdings Ltd and Malaysia's Pantai Holdings Bhd.
Parkway Pantai is 100 per cent owned by Integrated Healthcare Holdings Sdn Bhd,,Nike shox shoes, which in turn is 70 per cent held by Khazanah. The rest comes under Japan's Mitsui & Co.
Its Malaysian operations make up 30 per cent of the group's revenue for the first half of 2011 and a third of net profit in the same period.
