Frank Lampard says he is determined to fight for his place in the Chelsea first-team after his goal helped his side to a draw against Valencia on Wednesday and insists he has overcome other setbacks in his career.
The 33-year-old midfielder had been left on the bench by Andre Villas-Boas against Swansea at the weekend, but started the Champions League Group E fixture against Valencia.
“I always want to be playing games - that's a given,” Lampard told ITV after the game.
“I've been like that for all my career.Human hair Full lace wigs I respect the manager may want to make changes at times, and that may mean I’m going to be on the bench.
“But I like playing for this club. I love the fans, their support here tonight was fantastic and they always give me a great reception, so I am very proud to play.
“I have had knocks in my career before; it always makes me dig in and work even harder to come back,digital video recorders and after sitting on the bench I was always going to give it everything, playing in a place like this.”
The Blues had led for some time following Lampard’s cool finish early in the second half and although they conceded a late equaliser from the penalty spot, the England man feels a draw was a good result from a high-quality game.
“It was probably a fair result,Nfl bears jersreys cheap but it is a more frustrating one for us to take having been in the lead going into the last five minutes,” he admitted.
“It was a very end-to-end game, particularly in the second half it really opened up, so it was tough to catch your breath having to go up and down the pitch so often.
